Job Summary
Lead Pipeline Engineer (Cross-Country Pipelines)
Location: Qatar
Industry: Oil & Gas Engineering Consultancy
Type of Job: Permanent
We have an urgent hiring requirement for a highly skilled Lead Pipeline Engineer with strong expertise across Concept FEED and Detailed Design particularly for large-diameter cross-country pipeline projects.
Preferred Background:
Candidates from reputable global engineering consultancies such as ILF Penspen Worley Wood McDermott or similar will be given priority.
Key Responsibilities

Lead pipeline engineering activities for concept FEED and detailed design phases.

Prepare and review project specifications technical documents and pipeline engineering calculations.

Review and approve vendor drawings technical bid evaluations and material requisitions.

Develop pipeline layouts routing ROW selection hydrotest plans HDD design and stress analysis.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical accuracy and project timelines.
Qualifications & Skills
-
10 years of experience in pipeline engineering/design.

Strong exposure to cross-country large-diameter pipeline projects.

Expertise in design standards regulatory codes and pipeline engineering software tools.

Experience with pipeline studies: wall thickness HDD hydrotest buoyancy stress analysis HCA studies etc.

Strong communication leadership and coordination skills.

MME/MMUP/UPDA certification (preferred).
- Bachelors degree in Engineering - Piping OR Mechanical (PE/EIT certification is an advantage).
