Success Matcher Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mid-level Real Estate Associate to join the dynamic team of our distinguished client Moore & Van Allen in their Charleston SC office.

About the Role

We are searching for a candidate with a robust background in commercial real estate law and a proven history of successfully representing clients in a variety of transactions. You will play a key role in providing sophisticated legal counsel on high-stakes business transactions and intricate real estate matters.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Representing clients in complex real estate transactions including acquisitions dispositions financings common and preferred equity investments leases and development projects.
• Providing legal counsel to developers investors and representing lenders in real property secured financings.
• Negotiating and drafting agreements for joint ventures zoning matters corporate governance and workforce housing agreements.
• Representing clients in zoning appeals and property tax assessments.
• The ability to independently manage and close complex real estate transactions with minimal partner oversight is highly valued.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of five years of experience in commercial real estate law.
• Eligibility for admission to the South Carolina Bar is highly preferred.
• Strong expertise in real estate finance zoning entitlement and land use is essential.
• Experience representing developers lenders and institutional clients is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Lockstep Salary: $205000 - $265000 based on class year (e.g. $205K for 4th year $265K for 7th year). Higher compensation is available for more senior candidates.
