DescriptionAs a Branch Warehouser Supervisor you will lead and manage warehouse operations for our floorcovering branch ensuring efficient inventory control accurate order preparation and timely deliveries. This role oversees a team of warehousers driving operational excellence safety compliance and high levels of customer satisfaction.
The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Store 721155 at 4301 Industrial Ave Lincoln NE 68504.
Job duties involve contact with customers which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods electronic equipment personal information store merchandise and other items of value and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Companys customers staff employees vendors contractors and the general public.
Responsibilities- Supervise warehouse team including hiring onboarding training performance reviews and disciplinary actions in line with company policies.
- Assign and direct work providing training and guidance as needed.
- Prepare stock orders and assist with setting inventory levels using min/max systems.
- Monitor slow-moving/excess inventory and collaborate on liquidation strategies.
- Contribute to performance appraisals as required.
- Maintain an organized warehouse to support receiving storing and shipping.
- Unload incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders.
- Pull cut and stage products for daily load-out; coordinate with scheduling manager to ensure readiness.
- Maintain warehouse security and assist with installer load-out and outgoing shipments.
- Follow rolled goods policy manage inventory tags and optimize roll utilization to minimize waste.
- Ensure accurate product staging and defect inspection to meet customer quality standards.
- Prepare deliveries efficiently and locate out-of-stock items when needed.
- Operate material handling and cutting equipment safely.
- Maintain and repair branch equipment; establish maintenance schedules and recommend solutions for issues.
- Keep facility clean and compliant with S-W standards safety and loss prevention policies.
- Handle hazardous materials per policy including storage cleanup disposal and documentation.
- Assist with physical inventory and perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must be able with or without reasonable accommodation to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours which may include evenings and weekends with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit) pallet jacks hand trucks order pickers vacu-hoists drum dollies conveyor belts etc.)
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams you must have received at least a meets expectations (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams you must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have at least a High School diploma or GED
- Have a valid unrestricted Drivers License
- Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery retail or customer service position
- Have previous work experience selling floorcovering and/or floorcovering products
- Have prior work experience operating floorcovering cutting equipment
- Ability to read write comprehend and communicate in more than one language
- Ability to read write comprehend and communicate in Spanish
