Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Long-Term Care
Location: Mystic CT 06355
Pay Rate: $50/hour
Hours: 40 hours per week (Guaranteed)
Shift: 8-hour days
Start Date: As early as December 1st
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time opportunity in Mystic Connecticut. This role is based in a long-term care and skilled nursing setting providing rehabilitative services to residents who require speech language cognitive and swallowing therapy.
Youll work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to help residents regain and maintain their communication and swallowing abilities supporting their overall health and quality of life in a caring home-like environment.
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate diagnose and develop treatment plans for residents with communication speech language or swallowing disorders

Provide direct therapy services and track patient progress toward established goals

Collaborate with nursing occupational and physical therapy teams to ensure comprehensive care

Educate patients families and staff on communication techniques and strategies

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Qualifications

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Active Connecticut SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment strongly preferred
