Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise second shift machining operations to meet quality safety and productivity targets.
- Create edit and optimize CNC programs to support efficient production and reduce cycle times.
- Oversee machine setup tooling selection process troubleshooting and job sequencing.
- Train and mentor machinists operators and technicians to improve technical capability and performance.
- Monitor workflow address production issues and coordinate with other shifts to maintain continuity.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards inspection procedures and machining best practices.
- Maintain equipment performance by scheduling maintenance and addressing machine downtime.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean manufacturing and process optimization.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Manager CNC Supervisor or Lead CNC Programmer.
- Strong proficiency in CNC programming using common platforms such as Mastercam Haas Fanuc or similar controls.
- Hands-on background in CNC machining tooling setups and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and coach production teams.
- Strong understanding of GD and T blueprint reading and precision measurement tools.
- Ability to work second shift typically 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Experience in fast paced manufacturing or machining environments.
- Strong problem solving communication and organizational skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience implementing lean manufacturing 5S or continuous improvement programs.
- Familiarity with multi axis machining advanced toolpath strategies or complex part programming.
- Background with ERP or manufacturing software to manage scheduling and workflow.
- Prior experience improving cycle times tooling efficiency or machining processes.
