About the Role:
This CNC Manager position oversees second shift operations with a strong focus on CNC programming production leadership and precision machining. The role requires hands-on expertise in CNC setup tooling programming workflow optimization and team supervision. This position is ideal for candidates seeking CNC Manager CNC Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager opportunities in a high paced machining environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise second shift machining operations to meet quality safety and productivity targets.
  • Create edit and optimize CNC programs to support efficient production and reduce cycle times.
  • Oversee machine setup tooling selection process troubleshooting and job sequencing.
  • Train and mentor machinists operators and technicians to improve technical capability and performance.
  • Monitor workflow address production issues and coordinate with other shifts to maintain continuity.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards inspection procedures and machining best practices.
  • Maintain equipment performance by scheduling maintenance and addressing machine downtime.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean manufacturing and process optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Manager CNC Supervisor or Lead CNC Programmer.
  • Strong proficiency in CNC programming using common platforms such as Mastercam Haas Fanuc or similar controls.
  • Hands-on background in CNC machining tooling setups and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and coach production teams.
  • Strong understanding of GD and T blueprint reading and precision measurement tools.
  • Ability to work second shift typically 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Experience in fast paced manufacturing or machining environments.
  • Strong problem solving communication and organizational skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing lean manufacturing 5S or continuous improvement programs.
  • Familiarity with multi axis machining advanced toolpath strategies or complex part programming.
  • Background with ERP or manufacturing software to manage scheduling and workflow.
  • Prior experience improving cycle times tooling efficiency or machining processes.
