What Youll Do
Lead & Inspire
- Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing daily engineering and maintenance operations
- Train mentor and coach engineering team members to drive accountability growth and engagement
- Lead by example with professionalism integrity and a solutions-focused approach
- Provide leadership coverage across shifts including weekends holidays and on-call rotations
Hands-On Engineering & Maintenance
- Assist with planning and executing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
- Perform and oversee repairs across HVAC electrical plumbing carpentry drywall mechanical systems and general building maintenance
- Support basic IT and A/V troubleshooting as needed
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms public spaces and back-of-house areas
- Assist with capital projects renovations and special maintenance initiatives
Safety Compliance & Organization
- Promote a safe clean and organized work environment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA life safety standards company policies and local/state/federal codes
- Assist with safety training inspections and compliance documentation
Systems Inventory & Vendors
- Manage work orders preventive maintenance schedules and reporting using a CMMS
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and inspections
- Assist with tracking expenses managing inventory and supporting department budgets
- Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and vendors to ensure quality and safety standards
Requirements
What Were Looking For
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 35 years of progressive engineering or maintenance experience
- At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC electrical plumbing carpentry drywall mechanical systems and general building maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
- Basic to intermediate computer skills including CMMS or work order systems
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings weekends and on-call shifts
- Physical ability to perform hands-on work and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred:
- Technical or vocational certification in engineering HVAC or a related field
- Experience in a resort hotel hospitality or commercial environment
- CMRP or CMRT certification
