Full-Time Onsite (Bay Area California) Afternoon/Evening Shift

Role Overview

Youll work closely with scientists and process engineers to operate refine and scale thin-film deposition processes supporting the transition from R&D experiments to manufacturable high-throughput systems. This role involves running experiments recording data monitoring equipment performance and helping maintain consistent process output.

Youll also have the opportunity to support lab operations track supplies refine procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Its a dynamic collaborative environment with many opportunities to grow your technical skills across materials processing and clean energy technologies.

What Youll Do

Operate thin-film deposition and processing tools following established procedures
Carry out daily experiments record parameters and document results accurately
Monitor equipment performance and flag issues or inconsistencies
Collaborate with engineers and scientists to support experimental plans
Contribute to refining process documentation and workflows
Assist in maintaining lab organization tracking supplies and supporting operational readiness
Work with delicate samples and materials ensuring proper handling and safety

Requirements

Experience working in a hands-on laboratory or technical environment
Eagerness to learn new tools processes and techniques
Strong time-management and multitasking skills
Detail-oriented approach to documenting procedures and experimental results
Ability to collaborate effectively with scientists and engineering teams

Nice-to-Haves

Ability to work the 1:30pm-10:00pm shift
Experience in semiconductor R&D or advanced manufacturing environments
Familiarity with glovebox operations
Experience handling chemicals safely and following lab safety protocols
Skill working with delicate samples and precision materials
Motivation to contribute to climate and clean-energy impact
