Summary:
The Safeguarding Partnership Development Officer is a key role within the Camden Safeguarding Children Partnership (CSCP) a multi-agency statutory body recently recognized as part of an Outstanding Ofsted-rated Childrens Service. This position is designed for an innovative professional who will lead the planning and delivery of critical safeguarding priorities. The primary focus is to ensure that local servicesincluding Health Education Police and the community sectorwork together effectively to promote the welfare of children and young people in Camden ensuring they feel seen heard and protected.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the successful delivery of multiple workstreams focused on safeguarding priorities in collaboration with statutory and community partners.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships across Camden Childrens Services and with external partners (Police Health Education) to improve joint practice and performance.
- Coordinate the system learning response to serious child safeguarding incidents ensuring reviews are conducted effectively and focus on continuous improvement.
- Co-design and coordinate the CSCP multi-agency safeguarding learning offer providing reports on the quality reach and impact of training materials.
- Ensure that all joint working initiatives achieve the desired outcomes for the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
Qualifications:
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g. Social Policy Education Criminology or Public Administration) or equivalent professional experience is expected.
Essentials:
- Proven experience in building and maintaining professional relationships across different sectors such as Health Police and Education.
- Experience in analyzing complex issues identifying systemic barriers and developing practical areas for development.
- Experience in coordinating learning responses or audits following incidents to improve organizational practice.
- Experience in co-designing or facilitating professional learning programs and reporting on their effectiveness.
