Job Title
Receiver (Days)About This Role:
Receiver Highlights:
Unloading of goods in a safe and efficient manner using a counter balance or low lift forklift;
Verify items received for accuracy against purchase orders (ASNs);
Report quality variances and ensure accuracy in the type and quantity of received product;
Enter product information into computer systems;
Assign active pick locations for new products;
Apply License Plate Numbers (LPNs) verifying physical quantity of merchandise with quantity indicated on the ASN;
Clearly sign all transport documentation and indicate any discrepancies;
Complete non-compliance for vendors who do not follow GTWs shipping standards.
Job Requirements:
Completion of High School.
Class G2 or higher drivers licence
Successful completion of a forklift training program;
Familiar with material handling equipment;
Excellent communication skills;
Self-motivated; ability to work without direct supervision;
Experience with or a basic understanding of personal computer is required;
Voice picking or Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMOS) experience is an asset.
Successful candidates must be in good standing for both performance and health & safety.
Receiver Schedule:
Wednesday - Saturday 6:00am - 4:30pm

Hourly Rate

Competitive Compensation: The expected pay rate for this position is listed above and Giant Tiger offers guaranteed increases based on cumulative hours worked. Please note that overnight shifts and working in our cold storage location qualify for hourly premiums further increasing your earning potential.
