Responsible for office procedures including reception and clerical and administrative support for the Administration and Nursing departments.
Provides key role in customer service responding to inquiries or requests from residents families staff volunteers service providers and the general public.
Receives all incoming telephone calls direct messages and visitors providing program information and/or assistance and directs them as appropriate.
Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
Provide tours for potential/interested applicants.
Orders office supplies as required.
Collect information and prepare required reports.
Provide clerical and administrative support to the Nursing Department as delegated including processing of mail filing word processing data entry and minute-taking and distribution.
Coordinate the booking of appointments and transporting of residents to other facilities.
Comply with provincial and county occupational health and safety legislation regulations policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
Perform other duties as assigned
Must be a registered full-time student during the preceding academic year and be returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.
Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening within the past 6 months.
Word processing spreadsheet and database application skills preferred.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Varied office experience an asset.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Administrative/Secretarial experience would be an asset
Anticipated length: May - August
Hours per week may fluctuate. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
