About the Auckland System Management (ASM) Alliance
The ASM is an alliance between HEB Construction Fulton Hogan and NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi to operate and maintain Aucklands motorway network. The Alliance is expected to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders as well as suppliers to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers using the Auckland transport system. Estimated project dates are from July 2019 to June 2028.

What you will be doing:
As Junior Accountant you will have a variety of responsibilities and accountabilities including (but not limited to):
Financial processing and reconciliations.
Full Accounts Payable function including payment processing creating purchase orders purchase requisitions vendor setups entering supplier invoices and handling credit account applications.
Assisting with the preparation of procurement and financial reporting.
Month and year end activities such as journal preparation accruals and closing processes under the direction of senior finance staff.
Providing documentation and assistance for internal and external audits ensuring compliance with all requirements.
Identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes improve data accuracy and strengthen internal controls.
Collaborating with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate exchange of financial information.
About You:
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications experience and skills:
Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related discipline
Intention to pursue CA or CPA beneficial
Sound understanding of accounting principles
High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Analytical and problemsolving capability
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel familiarity with accounting software and proficient in learning new technology and systems
Microsoft Dynamics Experience an advantage
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Strong organisational and timemanagement skills
Have clear written and verbal communication
Above all you will be a true team player who is passionate about internal customer service and able to work effectively with a wide range of people.
