Top Required Skills:

• Allen Bradley PLC Programming (ControlLogix v20)

Must-Have Skills:

• Programming and debugging Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLCs (ladder logic structured text function block)
• HMI/SCADA programming in a manufacturing or plant environment
• Electrical system design and documentation using AutoCAD Electrical
• Strong understanding of machine control systems VFDs servo systems and motion control
• Ability to troubleshoot process electrical and automation issues
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards (NEC NFPA Lock-Out/Tag-Out)
• Experience working with system integrators and plant support teams
• Ability to manage controls scope of capital process improvement and obsolescence projects

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Extrusion and cable winding manufacturing experience
• Experience with legacy control systems and industrial networks
• OSI PI historian interface experience
• iFix 5.9 or higher
• Beckhoff PLC experience
• Entrepreneurial and systems-level design mindset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Design modify and implement Allen Bradley PLC programs for fiber optic cable manufacturing
• Lead and manage controls engineering scope for automation capital expansion and improvement projects
• Design and implement robust cost-effective control systems and machine automation solutions
• Interface with external system integrators to deliver fully integrated equipment systems
• Support projects through all phases including design fabrication testing installation and startup
• Mentor and train junior controls engineers and support plant personnel

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Computer Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology (or equivalent experience)
• 4 years of manufacturing experience with PLCs HMIs and VFD-controlled equipment
• Ability to work onsite M F (8 AM 5 PM) with overtime as needed
• Ability to independently execute projects with minimal supervision
• Commitment to safety standards and PPE requirements
