JOB DESCRIPTION FOR QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Functional Role- Jr. QC Engineer
Unit -Construction QA/QC
Division-CHO Project Jamnagar

Reports to Lead Quality Engineer

1. JOB PURPOSE-

Responsible for carrying out civil material inspection and testing at Laboratory as per specifications IS codes and approved ITP.

3. ACCOUNTABILITIES MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES TIME SPLIT SUB-ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.
Carrying out inspection & lab testing as per inspection and test plan

Carrying out Inspection at laboratory/Field publish test reports within specified time.

2. Study of Drawing & Specification applicable to job.

15%
Clear Knowledge of drawings and specification of the job being inspected.

3. Implementation of ITP & Checklists Technical spec. & codes etc.
15%
Ensure availability of ITP/procedures/test reports etc. are maintained by contractors

Reporting of material rejection/deviations

4. Providing Guidance to Technicians for carrying out material testing.
10%
Conduct TBT /Trainings to Lab technician & field workers

For Jr. QC Engineer (Material testing)
Total experience required: 5 years
Work experience in civil material testing Laboratory is mandatory: Min. 3 years of experience for graduate Engineer and Min 5 years for Diploma Engineer. The candidate who has worked at RIL CMTL previously should be preferred.

Aware concrete Mix Design monitor Batching plant operation.

Knowledge of the specification and code requirement for various jobs.

Knowledge of Inspection of all types of construction material and acceptance limits defined in IS codes.

Knowledge of record keeping test reports verification & approval.

Skills

Test report writing skills

Code/spec requirements.

Communication/Motivation

Skills to develop procedures for testing the material

Interpretation of the test results

Skills of reviewing MTC & material specifications
