Summary:

Aupports the Structural and Environmental Laboratories providing environmental test solutions for R&D and production programs at MFC.
Focuses on the setup and execution of environmental simulation tests in accordance with program and MIL-STD requirements.
Tests include vibration shock and climatic exposures.
The technician will learn or operate all test equipment safely handle and install test hardware and execute environmental testing to meet customer specifications.

Requirements:

Ability to obtain Secret Clearance (preferred if currently held)
High school diploma or demonstrated hands-on testing experience; degree not required
5 years experience with MS Office/Windows
5 years experience using hand tools including torque wrenches T-handles and ratchets
Physical ability to climb ladders and move around large machinery
Ability to learn electromechanical principles (understanding electronic control of mechanical equipment and sensor signal generation)
Capable of obtaining ATF Explosives License
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

Experience using powered tools (electric or pneumatic)
Prior work as a test technician in an aerospace environmental lab or equivalent
Strong aptitude with mechanical and electromechanical tools and instrumentation
Experience with vibration shakers shock test machines and climatic exposure chambers
Experience with vibration control software and programmable PID temperature controllers
Current DoD Secret Clearance and/or ATF Possessors License
