This role is in support of Cencoras global logistics and storage services
marketed through our World Courier business.
Dispatch Executive is a diverse and varied role which involves the planning of collections and deliveries on behalf of our clients orders are planned from initial pick up to dispatching to the airport using the highest level of customer service offerings and operational capabilities.
Salary: 44000 pa
Hours: 40 per week
Shift Pattern: start and finish times between 6am and 7pm Monday-Friday
Monitor timekeeping and performance of drivers and subcontractors
To ensure all shipments are sent in the most reliable and efficient manner and that the needs of other World Courier offices involved are considered.
Ensure customers receive the maximum in customer service and service quality.
Ensure all guidelines i.e. transport customs quality etc. are adhered to in their daily duties
Select the appropriate route based on all information at hand and estimate the transit time. This information must be communicated to the customer Service team to keep the clients informed.
Assign deliveries and collections to drivers vehicles
Ensure all pertinent information i.e. Special Delivery Instructions Special Pickup Instructions Extra Charges etc. is provided to drivers and subcontractors.
Co-ordination with customer service as well as liaising with offices throughout the network to ensure timely delivery of shipments
Maintain relationships with Contractors (booking & handling) and Suppliers.
When handling temp control shipments select the most appropriate and effective cold chain solution for collections / deliveries.
Management and planning of DTP Clinical trial and highly sensitive shipments.
Ensure drivers are working to their best ability while working within their regulated hours.
Good understanding of customs procedures and ability to effectively manage relevant documents.
Process all queries efficiently liaise with relevant departments as required
Operate to the highest possible standards during all transactions/engagements both internal and external
Adhere to all SOPs
Keep impeccable records of emails documents customs papers and PODs.
Update / edit TMS (Internal management system) as changes occur.
Utilize technologies available to the full.
To identify areas of improvement and inform the Manager. Should also inform the Team Leader / Manager if there are any concerns or problems within the office
Ability to achieve internal KPIs in relation to service levels.
Minimum 3 years of either driver dispatch/coordinator/controlling experience.
Computer skills
Knowledge of global requirements for importation/exportation of clinical trial DTP and pharmaceutical shipments preferred
Advanced knowledge of the Irish road network
Able to follow procedures & instructions
Able to take on projects at the request of management
Able to provide relevant information on request
Good communication skills verbally & written
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
