RecruitNet International Ltd is hiring an Director of Nursing (DON) for a Nursing home in Co Waterford Ireland.
Responsibilities
Ensure the delivery of high-quality care in line with Company policies HIQA standards and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and evaluate clinical practice through individualised care plans and internal audit processes.
Oversee staff induction ongoing training development and the promotion of innovative care practices.
Ensure compliance with all administrative systems and maintain operations in the absence of the Administrator.
Manage and monitor residents financial records funding arrangements and the Community Unit budget in line with legislation.
Maintain effective communication with clinical staff through regular meetings and engagement.
Build strong relationships with external agencies and support residents integration into the local community.
Oversee complaints management ensuring investigations and outcomes are documented and addressed appropriately.
Ensure a safe clean and well-maintained environment including health and safety fire safety hygiene catering and maintenance standards.
Support human resource functions including recruitment training needs analysis legislative compliance and verification of live NMBI registration for nursing staff.
Requirements
Registered General Nurse (RGN) with at least 3 years experience in the past 6 years in older adult care.
Holds a post-registration management qualification in health or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years management experience within the health or social care sector.
Registered on the appropriate division of the NMBI live register.
Demonstrated track record in clinical and healthcare management.
Strong leadership organisational and communication skills.
Effective decision-making abilities with a results-focused approach.
Solid understanding of financial processes and budget considerations.
Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others and work independently.
Strong team player with flexibility to adapt to organisational needs.
