The expected hiring range for this is $58000 to $61000. This role falls within a broader internal salary band with growth opportunities based on demonstrated performance.

To be successful as our new Director of the PAL you will:
- Have a Degree in Kinesiology with a focus on psychomotor behaviour and exercise rehabilitation
- Member in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario
- Provide leadership and direction for the development and evaluation of comprehensive operational policies and programs for the Village PAL program
- Provide leadership support and evaluate PAL programs and projects including restorative restraints falls care conferences and research to practice initiatives
- Coordinates with external stakeholders including the LHIN regarding OT/PT services vendor relations for application resident equipment external service providers for additional therapy/exercise programs
- Participates in Village interdisciplinary team meetings or committees as appropriate while communicating and working in collaboration with other interdisciplinary team members
- Provide leadership to the PAL Coordinator(s) and supports PAL Students Volunteers and contracted therapy services who assist with the PAL program
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents families and team members
- Understand the physical mental and emotional demands of the role
It would be an asset if our new Director of the PAL has:
- Experience working in a Long-Term Care setting
- Current Heart Save Level of CPR
