The Records Office is seeking a Records and Digital Archiving Assistant who is responsible for archiving departmental documents and retrieving digital records. The position requires someone who is dependable detail-oriented with accurate record keeping and strict attention to detail. Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and be available to work during all breaks graduation weekend and during the summer.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Data entry scanning/uploading indexing files in the records document management system (Etrieve)
- Records quality control by reviewing files to ensure compliance and prepare the file for digital archiving
- Digital file maintenance
- Organize and maintain confidentiality of student records
- Other duties as assigned by Records Office staff
Required Skills:
- Must be able to show accuracy strict attention to details responsibility reliability and timeliness.
- Must be able to work well independently using independent troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills with limited supervision in some cases.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records at all times (FERPA training will be required).
- Must display high levels of computer proficiency and an ability to learn to operate new software systems.
- Must interact effectively and professionally with department staff and students.
- Previous office experience especially in a student service or clerical environment is highly preferred.
Position Requirements:
- Must be a current La Sierra University student.
- Individuals who are not registered are not eligible for this position.
- Must be able to work during breaks summer and graduation weekend.
- Minimum dedication of 15 hours per week.
- Minimum 1-year commitment required; 2-year or longer commitment preferred.
Wage Range: $16.90 - $18.30
