Job Summary

How does Finalis work

  • We are a fully-remote company with Finalists distributed between the time zones of Central Standard Time and Eastern European Time .

  • If youre located outside this time zone range depending on the needs of your team you may be requested to be available during specific hours.

  • Although we dont have an official physical place to work we promote gathering with your team or other colleagues whenever possible.

The role

Finalis is the platform helping boutique investment banks placement agents and alternative investment sponsors compete with the big firms. Were at $12M revenue targeting $80M by 2027 with 600 member firms and a growing ecosystem of partners across private capital markets.

We need someone to own and build our partnerships and business development function. This is a player-coach role for someone who wants to be in marketat events on panels in rooms where deals get discussedwhile building the systems that turn relationships into revenue.

This is not a desk job. Youll be the face of Finalis in NYCs private capital markets community. You should be energized by that not intimidated by it.

What you will own:

Partnerships & Ecosystem

Transform our Membership Advantages program from a discount list into a strategic partner programtier partners define value exchange create co-marketing opportunities.

Negotiate and execute partnerships with integration providers capital partners service providers and industry associations.

Build relationships that lead to introductions referrals and co-selling opportunities.

Referral Engine

Own and grow our referral program which drives 30% of current revenue.

Formalize tracking set SLAs with partners and build accountability for partner-influenced pipeline.

Turn informal relationships into structured scalable referral motions.

Industry Presence & Events

Be the face of Finalis at conferences roundtables and industry events.

Own our event strategy: which conferences we sponsor vs. speak at vs. attend with clear ROI expectations.

Build your personal brand alongside the company brandpanels thought leadership relationship-building.

Coordinate with Marketing on event activation and logistics (you own the relationships; they support execution).


Who are we looking for

  • A self-starter with sales DNA. You dont wait to be told what to do. You see an opportunity figure out how to get in the room and make something happen. Youre energized by meeting people building relationships and finding the angle that turns a conversation into a partnership.

  • Comfortable being public-facing. You want to be on panels host roundtables and be known in the industry. If the idea of speaking at a conference makes you nervous this isnt the role.

  • A builder not just an operator. Youve built partnership programs or BD functions beforenot just managed existing ones. You know how to go from zero to one.

  • Credible in financial services. You have enough context in capital markets fintech investment banking or wealth management to build credibility fast. You dont need to be a former banker but you need to speak the language.

Requirements

  • 7-12 years in business development partnerships or GTM roles where you built revenue-driving partner programs (not just signed dealsmade them work)

  • Direct exposure to capital markets fintech investment banking wealth management or financial services

  • NYC area-based with appetite to be in-market regularlyevents partner meetings relationship building

  • Track record of building and scaling referral affiliate or partner-led growth programs

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a marketplace platform or network effects business

  • Prior work at a broker-dealer RIA family office PE/VC fund or investment bank

  • Existing relationships in the private capital markets ecosystem
