Located in South Gate Dickson Testing Company Inc. is a full-service destructive testing laboratory serving aerospace and metallic producers worldwide. Our laboratories serve our customers with metallurgical mechanical corrosion and chemical testing support of these services our facility provides complete specimen fabrication cut off services and heat treat capability.
Position Summary:
The Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting the quality of our operational processes and Quality Specialists responsibilities include leading the calibration processes and activities. This position also supports the Quality Engineers and Quality Manager. A successful Quality Specialist has excellent troubleshooting and organization skills and can work as a strong partner with Operations to ensure consistent accurate and timely throughput throughout the company.
This position reports directly to the Quality Manager.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

- Comply with PCC Code of Conduct Requirements and all PCC Rules (e.g. Quality and Safety).
- Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
- Work to ensure gages essential for production remain in calibration (e.g. simple hand gages to complex instrumentation).
- Experience with heat treatment processes.
- Coordinate with operations and calibration and repair service providers.
- Maintain current calibration status on the Gagetrak software.
- Investigate and address quality inquiries and concerns from our customer and their representatives.
- Other QMS administrative duties as assigned (e.g. Round Robin 6S Internal Audit).

Experience & Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A degree from an accredited institution in quality mechanical engineering or industrial engineering is preferred but not required.
- 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Experience working with NADCAP is preferred but not required.
- Experience working in the aerospace industry is preferred but not required.
- Experience or training in metallurgy (materials science) preferred but not required.
- ASQ CQE certification preferred but not required.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
