This department includes state prisons with custody healthcare and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Description of Work

This position is located at Greene Correctional Institution in Maury NC. Greene Cl has a minimum custody population of 656 adult male offenders.

This position will assist in the management and operational functions of a prison institution or facility which provides a large variety of programs and services to the offender population.

Employee will be responsible for the supervision of the Programs functions of the facility but may assist the Correctional Warden in other areas at Greene Cl as needed.

In the absence of the Warden and Associate Warden of Custody this position is responsible for the operations of the facility.

Position will report directly to the Warden of the facility.

Salary Range: $48222.00 - $84388.00

Salary Grade: NC13

  Bachelors degree in a human services or criminal justice field and three years of experience in correctional programs management or related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  Necessary Special Qualifications: Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
