About the role
We are looking for people to join our Melbourne team as Support Workers in the community part time or casual positions are currently available.
We have clients living at home inRowville and Doncaster areas and surrounding suburbs. Where we can and we will roster employees based on geographic location to minimize travel.
As a support worker you will:
- Support clients to achieve their goals and make choices in partnership with other support networks.
- Promote customer choice positive routines and activities ensuring they are meaningful to the customer.
- Qualified support workers will also support clients with personal cares assistance with mobility and prompting with medication.
What you will bring
Ideally you will have some experience in the health sector but if not we would still love to hear from you if this is a career you want to pursue and you have the right can-do attitude. Full training and orientation will be provided.
- A Certificate III in Aged Care Home and Community Care or Individual Support (desired but not essential)
- Current CPR and First Aid certificates
- Current and valid Drivers Licence and comprehensive insurance reliable motor vehicle
- Capacity to embrace a role that is meaningful for the community and yourself
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
- Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones email and internet
