The organization is in search of a Strategic Accountant to strengthen its financial management optimize resources and drive sustainable growth

Job Overview
The Accountant will play a critical role in overseeing financial planning analysis and reporting to support business decision-making. This role requires a professional who can go beyond transactional accounting to provide strategic insights manage costs and enhance profitability. The position involves close collaboration with senior management to ensure compliance efficiency and the financial sustainability of operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including general ledger accounts payable and receivable and bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory taxes including VAT PAYE and Corporate Tax in compliance with Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) regulations.

  • Formulate implement and review financial and accounting policies and procedures.

  • Prepare and submit final accounts and management reports.

  • Advise management on the companys financial performance risks and overall financial health.

  • Develop implement and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.

  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits by providing documentation schedules and explanations as required.

  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.



Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting or a related discipline.
  • CPA (K) qualification is mandatory.

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in a similar accounting role within a fast-paced or busy work environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant business/accounting software.

  • Access to a computer/laptop and reliable internet connection.
