Responsibilities:
Provide temporary legal support across various areas of law covering for assigned legal assistants.
Proactively manage files for assigned professionals.
Coordinate calendars schedule meetings hearings and events.
Edit format and revise a variety of legal documents (contracts pleadings correspondence etc.).
Prepare electronic procedure books closing binders and other legal documentation.
Ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
Proofread and correct documents to maintain quality standards.
Support fellow float assistants during slower periods.
Perform other legal-related tasks as required.
What you will need to succeed:
Diploma in legal secretarial studies secretarial studies or any recognized equivalent training.
3 years of experience in legal administrative support.
Practical experience in litigation and across various areas of law.
Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) to support professionals and clients in both languages.
Excellent grammar skills and strong attention to detail in written communication.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Word (intermediate to advanced level) Outlook and Excel.
Adaptability curiosity and an open mind.
Strong sense of responsibility autonomy and precision.
Professionalism team spirit and client-oriented mindset.
