Job Summary
Job Description: Performance Engineer
Responsibilities:
Design develop and execute performance testing strategies for PeopleSoft and Mainframe systems to ensure optimal system performance under varying workloads.
Conduct performance testing using tools such as Load Runner JMeter or other performance testing frameworks.
Identify performance bottlenecks analyze root causes and provide recommendations for optimization.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance benchmarks and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Write and execute SQL queries (e.g. SELECT JOIN aggregate functions) to validate data integrity and support performance testing efforts.
Perform load stress scalability and endurance testing to evaluate system behavior under different conditions.
Analyze and interpret performance test results to identify issues and recommend solutions for system improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers business analysts and project managers to ensure seamless execution of performance testing strategies.
Provide detailed performance test reports including metrics findings and recommendations for system optimization.
Leverage experience in the Banking/Finance domain and General Ledger (GL) systems to ensure performance testing aligns with business requirements.
Stay updated with the latest performance testing tools techniques and best practices to drive continuous improvement in testing processes.
Ensure adherence to performance testing best practices and standards throughout the testing lifecycle.
