The Opportunity:
Saint Lukes Hospital of Kansas City is hiring for a Nursing Intern to join their Intermediate Progressive Care Unit. This nursing team provides care to post-surgical and medical short stay patients in a fast-paced environment with various acuity levels.
This Nursing Intern on the Intermediate PCU will allow you to build relationships with your patients in a positive environment led by supportive and engaging leadership that believes in developing a strength driven career path. The nursing intern applicant must have one of the following qualifications:
Be enrolled in a formal nursing school
Have a certified nursing assistant certificate
Successfully completed SLHS NA internal training program
Completed their fundamentals of care course in nursing school.
The Nursing Intern performs clinical procedures and provides patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Performs direct and indirect patient care activities. Provides support to other health care team members. The Nursing Intern may perform technical tasks per unit competency validation. However Nursing Interns are restricted from performing any licensed tasks
