Overview

We are seeking a BiomedicalTechnician I(BMET I) to join ourteam.TheBiomedicalTechnician I (BMET I) position is an entry level role with primary responsibilities for general patient careequipment service and maintenance performance. The BMET I position has direct reportingresponsibilities to the assignedaffiliate Unity Point Clinical Engineer Manager or designated Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance electrical safety inspections and equipment verification.
  • Install troubleshoot repair and calibrate biomedical equipment PCs and medical networks.
  • Assistsenior BMETs with advanced equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Maintainaccurateservice records in the CMMS database and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate with clinical staffregardingequipment status and provide user education.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service technicians to ensure proper service delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and adhere to oncall rotation and travel requirements.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associates degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology Electronics orotherTechnology/IT related program; militaryBiomedical Engineering Technician course graduaterequired.

Experience:

  • Three (3)monthsexperience working with Biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment preferred.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Valid drivers license (DRLC1IA DRLC1IL DRLC1WI).
  • AUTOINSfor drivinga personal vehicle.
