Heavy Line Technician
Job Description
FairwayFord is seeking an experienced Automotive Main Line Technician with strong diagnostic skills to join our service department. This role is ideal for a technician who thrives on solving complex problems working efficiently and delivering high-quality repairs that meet Ford standards.
Responsibilities
Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs on Ford and other vehicles
Handle all engine service work including engines
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and provide recommendations for additional service
Communicate findings clearly to Service Advisors and document work performed on repair orders
Stay current with Ford factory training technical bulletins and diagnostic equipment
Follow dealership and manufacturer standards for quality and safety
Assist in mentoring and supporting junior technicians when needed
Qualifications
2 years of automotive technician experience (Ford dealership experience strongly preferred)
Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
OEM certifications preferred; Ford certifications are a strong plus
Ability to operate modern diagnostic tools and repair software
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
