Location: New York NY 10016
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week
Shift: Day 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
Night 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
Pay Rate: $65 $70 per hour
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetryfor an exciting job in New York NY.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience
2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
2 years of conscious sedation experience
Education
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program (required)
Certifications & Licensure
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
Primary Source Verification of RN license and registration through the NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Key Responsibilities
Monitor interpret and document cardiac rhythms and telemetry data
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications IV therapies and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
Initiate and maintain IV lines; perform phlebotomy as required
Assist with and monitor patients undergoing conscious sedation ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical standards
Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to medical emergencies
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses treatments and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate effectively with physicians case managers and allied health professionals
Adhere to all federal state and local regulations as well as hospital policies and quality standards
