Commercial Estimator

The Externals group is working with a well-known and established commercial roofing contractor that is on the lookout for an experienced estimator to join their team. They are looking for someone who has extensive knowledge and experience estimating large commercial roofing projects. You would understand the process of developing cost estimates and have the ability to present these for review for clients project managers and design teams.

You will have a strong understanding of each project by working alongside the internal teams clients and business engineers.

A Day in the Life:

Analyze project specifications and drawings to compile project notes and scope development..
Use EDGE to assist with take-offs and to produce accurate cost estimates.
Actively identify opportunities within the project process to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Take a proactive approach to project hand-offs by working with the Project Managers to pre-determine any estimator-related issues.
Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the project to maintain a clear understanding of all individual projects

Key Requirements:

5 years of estimating experience within commercial roofing.
Proficient with The EDGE
Ability to interpret architectural drawings and perform accurate take-offs.
Strong communication organisation and client-facing skills.
