Were looking for aMedical Assistantto join our Nursing Department in the Behavioral Health Division.Our Behavioral Health Services division provides comprehensive and coordinated outpatient services to individuals with mental illness and/or an addictive disorder (alcohol drugs gambling) for both adults and children.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience in administrative services in a healthcare setting; OR

Two years of experience or training in patient care; OR

An associates degree or certificate in a medical assistant training program.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

Take and record measures of patients general physical condition (vital signs waist circumference weight/height/BMI)
Collectspecimensfor urinedrug screens (UDS)
Collectspecimensforurinepregnancytesting (UPT)
Measureblood alcohol concentration (BAC)
Complete lab order forms track & gather lab results
Offer patientand family education
Guidepatientsthrough clinic transitions
Document information regarding patient care and behavior
Coordinate care for high acuity patients aftercares PECs
Facilitate community & primary care referrals

Appointment Type:Probational
Work Schedule:Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday - Friday.
Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
