As a Software Engineer II - Developer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank youll be a part of an agile team that works to enhance design and deliver the software components of the firms state-of-the-art technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team you execute software solutions through the design development and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product application or system while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities

Design develop and maintain scalable and robust full-stack applications splitting efforts equally (C# .NET Core Entity Framework) and Python (Flask Django data processing).
Collaborate with product managers designers and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions using and Python stacks.
Participate in code reviews testing and debugging for and Python applications to ensure quality and performance.
Implement cloud-based solutions using Azure and/or AWS and Python capabilities for high availability scalability and security.
Build and integrate microservices APIs and backend services using and Python frameworks.
Configure IIS web servers and develop Windows-based applications as well as develop and maintain Python-based services and scripts.
Work with database technologies such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL/MongoDB.
Continuously improve development processes and tools for both technology stacks to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in and Python ecosystems.
Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2 years applied experience
Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with equal expertise and Python.
Proficient in coding Core C# Entity Framework LINQ and Python (Flask Django scripting).
Experience configuring IIS web servers building microservices Kafka integrations and WinForms (); experience with Python-based backend and data processing.
Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL Server () PostgreSQL or MongoDB (for Python).
Experience with cloud platforms - Azure and/or AWS using and Python.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Hands-on practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability using and Python.
Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with and Python and database querying languages.
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Applicant Resiliency and Security.

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

Exposure to AI/ML technologies and DevOps practices.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
Good understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML CSS JavaScript and frameworks like Angular or React.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
