Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit
Location: Brooklyn NY 11203
Assignment Type: Contract
Duration: 14 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: Night Shift 3x12
Shift Hours: 8:00 PM 8:30 AM (EST)
Weekly Gross Pay: $2587.15
Position Overview
A hospital is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment adaptability teamwork and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients
Perform rapid assessments and respond to changes in patient condition
Administer medications IV therapies and conscious sedation as ordered
Monitor and interpret vital signs cardiac rhythms and laboratory results
Collaborate closely with physicians respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary teams
Document care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Educate patients and families regarding care plans and treatment progress
Maintain patient safety and adhere to infection control and hospital protocols
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care (ICU) experience
Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience
Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
Ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity environment
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program
Certifications & Licensure
Active New York State RN License
AHA BLS (required)
AHA ACLS (required)
Experience with Cerner and/or EPIC EMR systems
