Position Overview

At Foundation Building Materials (FBM) we are seeking a skilled Fabrication Door Specialist to inspect service install and repair commercial doors with precision and professionalism. This role requires technical know-how strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to top-tier customer service. Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service & Quality

• Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services.
• Responsible for inspection of product paperwork and all daily duties.
• Perform small projects as directed by Management.

1. Technical Knowledge

• Maintain a full understanding of all products and a basic knowledge of equipment to identify needed repairs.
• Read and understand instructions and procedure manuals.
• Accurately read a tape measure and perform basic math skills.

1. Safety

• Maintain a clean safe and organized warehouse environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
• Use proper lifting techniques.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment safety shoes and clothing.

1. Physical Requirements

• Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation grasping and manipulation.
• Frequent pushing pulling lifting or carrying building materials weighing approximately 100 pounds using proper lifting procedures; and occasionally pushing pulling lifting or carrying greater weights. Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces. Some functions may be performed as a team.

• Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a diverse fast paced technology-driven environment.
• Must be reliable and be detail oriented.
• Eager to learn and use skill set to advance in career.
• Experience with commercial doors frames or hardware preferred.
• High school diploma general education degree (GED) or equivalent work experience and/or training.
• Minimum 2-year experience in fast paced technical and related industry position.

Compensation

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience qualifications and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

• Base: $20-$25 per hour
• Bonus: Not Eligible
