SummaryofPrimary Function/General Purpose of Position
The RDassess implements monitorsthe dietary changes of all patients. Theyinitiatediet behaviormodificationsand goals for each individual patient.The RD is responsibleto collaboratewith other healthcare professionalsmonitorpatient progress andstaycurrent with research to support diet and lifestyle changes. The RDis responsible forongoing professional growth.
- Conducts patient assessments within the practice
- Responsible forassistingin training of incoming dietitians
- Participatesin community outreach toprovide nutrition education atcommunity events including but not limited to employer healthfair community health fairs high schoolcareer events.
- Responsible to conduct pre-op nutrition education group classes for patients.
- RD performs comprehensive nutritional assessments creating personalized nutrition and meal plans.
- RD will design and implement nutrition programs and create education materials specific to support womens health duringperimenopauseand menopause phase of life.
- Provides education and counseling for hormonal imbalance and chronic conditions
- Evaluate the nutritional readiness of the prospective bariatric surgerypatient
- Review lab results todeterminevitamin and mineral deficiencies
- Formulate plan to correct vitamin and mineral deficiencies -recommend supplements
- Develop and host at least 2 Support Group meetings each calendar year

Required Minimum Education:
Graduate Degree (Masters)
Specialty/Major:Dietetics/Nutrition
Licensure/Certification Required:
Licensed& RegisteredDietitianwithState of Ohio
Minimum Years and Type of Experience:
1-3years experience. Must be a graduate of a college or university with an accredited masters degree in dietetics. Completion of supervised dietetic internship pass the Commission on DieteticRegistrationexam.MustmaintainCE requirements needed for ADA.

RD mustpossess1:1 and group communication skills
