Shift: 40 hours 4x10s 630a-5p rotating day off Possibility of call only on weekends and holidays Required certifications: CNMT - Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or Registry by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist -Nuclear Medicine (ARRT-N) Basic Life Support Certification (AHA) Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required) Bachelors Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred) Experience: 1 years-Related work experience (Preferred) Unit Size/Beds: 3 SPECT Cameras 1 SPECT/CT Camera 2 PET/CT Cameras Nuclear Medicine Technologists are responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation (radioactive material and computed tomography) nonionizing radiation and adjunctive medications for diagnostic therapeutic radiotheranostics or research purposes. Radioactive materials medications and imaging and non-imaging equipment are used in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging to study various organs body systems and samples to aid in the diagnosis treatment radiotheranostics and treatment planning of various pathological conditions. A nuclear medicine technologist performs nuclear medicine and molecular imaging procedures radiotheranostics or therapies and acquires and analyzes data at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner and under the supervision of an authorized user. Nuclear medicine technologists also administer the prescribed radionuclide therapy to the patient at the request and under the supervision of an authorized user.
