Job Description

K.S.A.s:

  • High School Degree or equivalent required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily tasks.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple requests and work in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Job Duties:

  • Orders and stocks non-chargeable supplies on unit. Maintains inventory of in-unit equipment cables etc.
  • Maintains log of equipment service and location of equipment. Ensures timely return for in-unit equipment from Bio-med or other units. Follows up on equipment preventative maintenance and repair.
  • Assists VIP with equipment and interdepartmental transfers.
  • Assists in the retrieval and delivery of medications and pharmaceutical products that are dispensed from the Pharmacy to the appropriate patient care providers.
  • Keeps unit (excluding patient rooms) neat and in order. Stocks bedside cabinets treatment rooms mini-stations isolations carts and linen areas.
  • Maintains standard room set-up and proper functioning of items in room. Cleans patient rooms as needed.
  • Reconciles patient information in Central Supply system (PYXIS).
  • Removes and/or replaces needle boxes in patient rooms.
  • Records all refrigerator temperatures and reports any malfunctions to Engineering.
  • Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients families co-workers and others.

Pay Range

$18.00-$27.00 Hourly

The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position.
