The Opportunity:

As a Software Engineer I on our Technology Solutions team you will engage across a full featured software design lifecycle to deliver direct value to internal and external technology solutions. The primary product under development Cobalt () is an industry leading diligence and analytics platform for the private markets. This opportunity is a software development focused role to join an entrepreneurial spirited team set within a successful supportive and innovative market leader. Your responsibilities will be to:

Collaborate with other team members across product QA and development teams as well as business stakeholders to implement new features enhancements and improvements to our platform.
Bring projects from initial concept through all cycles of development: from project definition development debugging release and iteration.
Build sound solutions ensuring scalability extensibility and maintainability.
Operate with integrity and work collaboratively with peers and seniors in an open and supportive environment.
Deliver meaningful value and progress through a rigorous software design lifecycle within an Agile Scrum framework.
Document and closeout sprint tickets professionally with attention to detail.

Your background will include:

Must-haves:

Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Computer Science or similar technical discipline or equivalent work experience. (4 years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelors) (Minimum Required)
Strong experience with Python Javascript and/or other object-oriented languages.
Strong software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented design data structures testable code and algorithms.
Comfort with full stack software development including computationally intense backend development and service design data storage and access models and modern frameworks.
Experience in these tools and packages:
- Python: Flask SQLAlchemy Celery
- Javascript: React
- Databases: Postgres ORMs
- Keyed Storage: Redis
- Development tools: Git Docker Jenkins

Nice-to-haves:

3 years of experience as a Software Developer Software Engineer or similar roles utilizing open-source technologies.
Proclivity towards refactoring and continuously improving object-oriented code through Agile development methods.
Experience in a SaaS-based product and comfort working effectively in a corporate setting.
B2B financial service or alternative asset management experience.
