About the role

Access Health and Community is seeking two qualified and compassionate Mental Health Clinicians to join the Towards Change Team at the newly formed Maroondah Mental Health and Wellbeing Local a groundbreaking community-led initiative driving Victorias mental health reform. This permanent full-time role is based primarily at our Maroondah site with flexibility for outreach this role you will provide tailored mental health support to adults aged 26 and over experiencing mental health challenges including co-occurring substance use. Working across clinical community and home-based settings youll deliver trauma-informed person-centred care and tailor evidence-based interventions like ACT DBT and mindfulness. Youll co-develop personalised Wellbeing Plans engage families and carers and champion lived experience equity and local voice in every aspect of service delivery. What you will be doing

  • Work in partnership with individuals to conduct thorough psychosocial assessments acknowledging their strengths needs and experiences utilising a trauma-informed approach.
  • Collaboratively develop individualised wellbeing plans with clients that reflect their goals and preferences in a way that promotes self-determination and empowerment.
  • Implement a range of evidence-informed interventions such as motivational interviewing tailored to the unique needs of each individual while respecting their personal choices.
  • Provide practical tools and strategies to empower clients in managing symptoms enhancing emotional regulation and navigating challenges with the aim of promoting self-efficacy and overall well-being.
  • Work actively to embed consumer perspectives and lived experience into the model of care
  • Facilitate open and respectful communication within families and relationships cultivating healthy connections and addressing conflicts constructively.
  • Work with individuals holistically and contextually considering systems institutions families cultures communities and ethnicity.

What you will bring Key responsibilities

You are an experienced Mental Health Clinician who is passionate about holistic care and understands the complex relationship between mental and physical health. You bring clinical expertise a compassionate approach and a commitment to participant-led practice.

  • Qualification as a registered nurse social worker psychologist or occupational therapist
  • Membership or eligibility for membership with appropriate professional body (PACFA ACA AASW AHPRA)
  • Experienced in a range of evidence-based psychological therapies such as CBT ACT mindfulness motivational interviewing and solution-focussed therapy
  • Post graduate experience working in a mental health or AOD setting (minimum 2 years)
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of mental health assessment formulation and evidence-based treatment
  • Proven experience in delivering counselling to vulnerable communities and/or individuals belonging to vulnerable groups demonstrating sensitivity and empathy
  • Willingness to learn and utilise technology platforms relevant to the position.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

Compliance Requirements:

National Police Check Working with Children Check NDIS Worker Screening Check.

  • Evidence of the right to work in Australia and a valid Drivers Licence.
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module (free online).
  • Legal working rights in Australia
