Job Summary

Job Opportunity: Locum Emergency Medicine Physician

Join us at a bustling Critical Access Hospital located in Dyersville Iowa known for its rich cultural heritage as the home of the Field of Dreams movie site. Our facility offers a wide array of healthcare services including a 3-bed Emergency Department a 20-bed medical-surgical department outpatient services and more. We take pride in providing comprehensive care to a vibrant community of approximately 4360 residents.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide emergency medical care and treatment to patients.
Manage an average daily volume of 4 ED patients.
Supervise inpatient care with an average census of 4 patients.
Conduct patient evaluations and formulate treatment plans.
Utilize EMR system (TogetherCare - EPIC) for documentation and patient management.
Collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff for optimal patient care.
Participate in on-call duties offering in-house coverage and support.
Assist in managing the Emergency Department operations.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or Family Practice/Internal Medicine with recent EM experience.
Active Iowa medical license.
Clean malpractice and background history.

License and Certification Requirements:

Current and unrestricted state medical license in Iowa.
Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or applicable field.
