Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical expertise adaptability and the ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. This role requires flexibility to work variable shifts and float to other departments as needed.

Schedule

Variable shifts required
Typical shift options:
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Occasional 8-hour Day Evening or Night shifts may be scheduled
80 hours per two-week pay period
12-hour shifts may be available (up to 72 hours per week depending on scheduling needs)

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity.
Administer medications treatments and interventions according to physician orders and facility protocols.
Monitor patient progress and respond quickly to changes in condition.
Collaborate with physicians advanced practice providers and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
Accurately document patient assessments interventions and outcomes in the electronic medical record system.
Maintain compliance with infection control safety and regulatory standards.
Float to Long Term Care or ICU units when required.

Minimum Qualifications

Active RN license (must be current and in good standing).
Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience required.
Experience working in fast-paced acute care environments preferred.
Ability to work variable shifts including days nights weekends and holidays.

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Additional Information

Experience using Cerner EMR is preferred.
Holiday coverage may be required.
Holiday pay is based on hours worked on the holiday. Recognized holidays include:
- New Years Day
- Independence Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
