The Role:
Educational objectives:
Conduct statistical analysis with large-scale provincial administrative health databases.
Develop skills in data linkage.
Gain knowledge in environmental data.
Proposed deliverables at the end of the placement:
Develop a tool to extract real-time environmental data and link them to the syndromic surveillance database.
Develop a statistical model to detect wildfire-related health risks.
Required education and experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
Completed year one of a two year biostatistics mathematics epidemiology environmental health or related Masters program with training in statistical methods.
Strong skills in statistical data analysis using R.
