PhD student (mfd)

• Bioinformatic analysis of multi-omics data to elucidate the role of nucleoside diphosphate kinases (NDPK) in the tumor microenvironment and their potential influence on cancer progression and metastasis
• Characterization of primary tumors and metastasis using multi-omics data sets (e.g. genomics metabolomics) with focus on single-cell and spatial transcriptomics RNA sequencing data
• Integrated analysis of clinical phenotypes and -omics data using biostatistics and bioinformatics
• Application of a broad spectrum of established and new bioinformatics analysis strategies with focus on single-cell and spatial transcriptomics RNA seq and data integration
• Capacity and enthusiasm to undertake the training activities of a graduate program supported by programs of the Faculty of Medicine and the Graduate Academy of the University of Tuebingen to ensure greatest possible success in your career track

Qualifications :

• Master degree (.) in bioinformatics applied bioinformatics or a related discipline
• Experience and strong background in the analysis of bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing data and data interpretation
• Experience in the analysis of multi-omics datasets (e.g. proteomics transcriptomics genomics)
• Strong programming skills in R and preferably in Python
• Solid background in cancer biology
• Good knowledge in biostatistics would be beneficial
• Interest in oncology and personalized medicine
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills
