Job Summary
The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for assisting in overseeing warehouse operations by managing inventory and addressing safety and operational concerns. Provide support in order fulfillment resource planning and process improvements while ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining strong customer and internal relations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Team Lead
Act as a backup for the Supervisor ensuring efficient warehouse operations by addressing safety employee relations and operational concerns.
Collaborate with supervisors and lead hands to optimize asset utilization and workflow while providing seamless shift handovers.
Oversee order fulfillment and/or receiving processes verifying product accuracy packaging and shipment preparation.
Resolve product location and equipment inquiries and support daily warehouse activities.
Respond promptly to customer and internal inquiries regarding order status investigate issues and implement solutions to maintain strong customer relationships.
Offer insights on resource planning process improvements and training needs to enhance efficiency.
General
Accurately performs all Warehouse Associate tasks and maintains cleanliness and organization of assigned areas.
Manages phone communications promptly and professionally.
Supports outbound operations including picking staging labeling loading job assignments training safety walks incident reporting and facility security.
Safety
Acts as a key safety advocate modeling proper procedures and addressing safety issues proactively.
Trains employees on safety protocols and conducts regular safety observations.
Promotes safe behavior through positive reinforcement and accountability.
Reviews inspection forms reports concerns and suggests safety improvements.
Immediately addresses and reports unsafe conditions accidents or incidents and assists in gathering data for reporting.
Other
Safety Sensitive Position: the ability to perform job functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Maintains proficiency with company computer systems in aspects related to job such as data entry messaging call logs data notations queue updates batching or other job & office functions and requirements.

Qualifications
High School diploma or its GED equivalent
2 or more years experience with logistics or distribution and related functions
Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
Use computers photocopiers scanners phone systems and meeting and virtual platform sharing relative to the needs of the job.
Minimum keyboarding skills of 40 words per minute.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position may require up to 4043 hours per week and involves regular physical activity including:
Frequent lifting of 2550 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
Operating forklifts and material handling equipment for up to 6 hours daily.
Regular bending climbing squatting kneeling and reaching.
Pushing/pulling objects up to 300 lbs. occasionally.
Prolonged use of hands arms and feet for equipment operation.
Periods of sitting standing walking and twisting throughout the shift.
Visual requirements include close distance color and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and focus adjustment.
