Job Summary

Were looking for a Finance Analyst to join our FP&A team within the Markets business. This role focuses on budgeting forecasting and supporting month-end processes with a view to developing deeper financial planning and analysis expertise.

Youll report into the FP&A Manager and work closely with the Head of Finance - Markets and senior stakeholders across the business. This is a 12 month fixed term position within a growing team offering exposure to the full suite of financial accounting and FP&A activities. Its a fantastic opportunity to learn on the go gain experience beyond traditional accounting and work alongside senior leaders.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate and provide input into the budgeting and forecasting processes including managing ad-hoc requests and take ownership of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Maintain Excel forecast models and manage data inputs from various sources.
  • Analyse monthly ledger data to identify trends variances risks and opportunities.
  • Act as a point of contact for budget and forecast queries from the wider business.
  • Assist with regional inputs for ExCo and stakeholder presentations.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis
  • Support month-end tasks and queries from the Finance Control Team.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the Markets business.

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate:

  • CA/CFA qualified or working towards it (preferred) with continuous improvement and growth mindset.
  • Strong Excel skills including formulas (lookups SUMIFS) and functions (charts pivots); experience with Excel modelling is a plus.
  • Proven analytical ability to interpret data and deliver meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Commercial mindset proactive approach and willingness to learn and think laterally.
  • Background in public practice or corporate.
  • Experience in a growth orientated environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across multiple regions including Australia and global teams.
  • A proactive networker who can operate autonomously with logical decision-making skills.
