Overview of the role :

Saputo Dairy Products Canada is seeking a Licensed Industrial Mechanic for our Mount Pearl Milk Facility. Under the responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining / monitoring and repairing production equipment.

Schedule: 40 Hours Per week could include nights and/or weekends

Salary: $39.80 Plus Premiums as Per Collective Agreement

How you will make contributions that matter:

Repair and maintain production equipment both processing and packaging
Troubleshoot equipment failures and breakdowns
Work with scheduled Preventive Maintenance and Work Order system
Responsible for mechanical overhaul shop machines and tools
Other duties as required

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

Must possess a Provincial Certificate as an Industrial Mechanic
Experience in a food processing facility as well as experience with automatic controls/PLCs would be an asset
Candidates must be strong independent individuals while possessing the ability to function within a highly integrated team environment
Previous production experience is an asset
Experience or ability to be trained in operating multiple pieces of processing equipment
Demonstrated solid multi-tasking problem solving troubleshooting and analytical skills
Safety Focused
Advanced mechanical and technical aptitude
Proven communication and inter-personal skills
Should exhibit initiative positive attitude good judgement diligence and have an excellent work and attendance record
