Housing & Food Services (HFS) has an outstanding opportunity for a Food Service Worker 2 to join their team.
Housing & Food Services supports over 10000 student residents and operates 40 dining locations on campus. With a team of over 1200 staff and students HFS is dedicated to enhancing student life through teamwork and excellent service.
POSITION PURPOSE
Work alongside and provide leadership to a team of full-time and student employees in a dynamic high volume food service environment. Typical work includes providing customer service for guests assembling and serving food items preparing beverages assisting cooks in preparation and production of menu items operating a grill or fryer cashiering and maintaining cleanliness.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
POSITION DIMENSIONS
There are 9-month or 11.5-month cyclic positions available. These positions are located at various UW Dining venues. Schedules may be changed with two weeks notice.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Possession of or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment AND one year of experience preparing and serving food and beverage.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements such as a license certification and/or registration.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
A satisfactory outcome from the employment verification and reference check processes.
