Why Your Role Matters:

UNSWs Procurement Function drives strategic procurement outcomes partnering with Divisions and Faculties to deliver commercial value manage risk and ensure effective sourcing decisions.

The Procurement Manager Estate Management (EM) will report directly into to the Director Procurement William Bailey and will lead a team of at least two direct reports.

Responsibilities:

The role of Procurement Manager Estate Management is responsible for the management and delivery of Estate Managements procurement priorities supporting the planning development and operation of the Universities built environment. It ensures campuses are fit for purpose sustainable and supports the Universitys teaching research and strategic objectives.

Who You Are:

• A combination of relevant Tertiary Qualification(s) and extensive relevant experience within a procurement leadership role(s) including demonstrated capability managing and developing high-performing teams.
• At least 7 years of procurement experience in a large complex and multi-stakeholder organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and implement modern procurement approaches introducing new methods processes and commercial models and constructively challenging existing paradigms to uplift outcomes.
• Advanced communication interpersonal relationship building skills with proven ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholder groups manage complex discussions and influence outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate and balance multiple procurement priorities- value for money risk probity sustainability safety and ensure process efficiency while exercising strong commercial judgment.
• Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to develop creative and effective solutions.
• Extensive experience in negotiating complex outcomes execution of contracts bedding in new arrangements and setup of performance tools.
• Highly developed commercial acumen and passion for delivering commercial outcomes and demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and influence at the board and senior executive level.
• Demonstrated understanding of sustainability safety and ethical procurement principles and a commitment to aligning procurement practices with UNSWs strategic priorities and responsible sourcing expectations.
