Contract Metallurgists - Plant Metallurgist and Senior Metallurgist Roles
We are recruiting for various site Metallurgists roles around Australia and overseas with a variety of rosters location and commodities. FIFO / DIDO and residential opportunities. Experience is essential.
Contract duration varies from 3-6 months with immediate starts.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing day-to-day metallurgical operations on the plant
- Implementing metallurgical test work results and optimisation strategies
- Troubleshooting process issues and ensuring consistent recoveries
- Maintaining key process documentation and reporting
- Supporting the Metallurgy team in developing long-term metallurgical strategies
- Committing to health safety and environmental standards across all activities
Qualifications :
Requirements:
- Degree in Metallurgy Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- Proficiency with metallurgical software and tools (e.g. Excel metallurgical accounting systems)
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role within the mining industry
- Demonstrated expertise in mineral processing and extractive metallurgy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Physical fitness to perform on-site duties in potentially challenging environments
- Willingness to work in remote locations and adapt to various roster patterns
- Valid drivers licence
- Ability to obtain a Australian National Police Clearance
- Australian Working rights
