We are looking for a Group Leader with overall responsibility providing technical leadership and project organization for a team of scientists supporting method establishment and analytical testing activities focused on RNA-therapeutic (LNP/AAV) methodologies. Training will be provided and those with existing RNA (mRNA gRNA ASO siRNA) experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Supports manages and develops a team of scientists to ensure optimal group performance
- Supervises daily laboratory activities and laboratory scheduling to appropriately prioritize the laboratory workload to meet client requirements as related to method establishment quality on-time performance and TAT (Turnaround Time).
- Conducts interviews on-boards and trains new employees according to standard procedures
- Develops and maintains client relationships to ensure superlative service and quality deliverables
- Writes/generates protocols and test methods in collaboration with management to support method establishment and routine testing activities.
- Supports method establishment and routine testing across a number of analytical techniques including: LC-UV/CAD/FLD/MS (IPRP SEC AEX) CE/CGE UV Plate-based assays DLS/ELS ELISA qPCR ddPCR compendial methods (Appearance pH Osmolality CCIT residual solvents VIC).
- Coordinates and communicates delays and technical issues with management in a timely manner.
- Devises processes and methods for the solution of technical problems. Assists analysts with method establishment challenges.
- Reviews lab investigations and deviations with analysts and provides analytical troubleshooting support for the team.
- Conducts root cause analysis and implements solutions in collaboration with Quality Assurance.

Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Biochemistry or related Scientific discipline with 1 - 3 years laboratory experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of San Diego CA are encouraged to apply.
The pay range of this role is $70000 - $90000 depending on related experience.
